May I use your objects to recolour, retexture or otherwise mangle? |
sims1: Anything that Kiri has made - YES, you may (you might want to check the permissions from the sites where I have recoloured/retextured things). What I require is the following - These are Mandatory -

Can Sims2 objects, walls or floors be used in sims1 or Vice Versa? No. sims1 objects, walls and floors and Sims2 objects, walls and floors are mutually exclusive. However - if you see something you like in Sims2 and want it in sims1 or vice versa - look for the buttons. The first will take you to the matching sims1 set. The second will take you to the matching Sims2 set. If there isn't a button - feel free to ask me about it. (There's an email address on the front page). |
I build Houses, can I include your things in the zip? |

sims1: Objects - NO. Build Mode: Walls, Floors, Windows, Doors, Roofs - Yes, as Below... If you've asked permission first - yes you can. I'll list the people here who've asked so everyone knows - and maybe you'll want to visit? And if you smile nicely, I'll make windows and doors for you too.

SIMS2: Recolours - Yes. New Mesh Objects - No. See below. New Mesh Objects - We prefer that they not be included in house sims2packs for download. The reason being - if there are changes to be made to the object (e.g. changes because of new expansion packs), then we'd like to have them in just one place, and for there not to be a problem with over-writing good objects with bad. All that will do is cause problems for the people using your house, and extra mail for us and you. So Please - include a recolour of the object, and point them to the original meshes on this site, after removing the mesh from the house package. If the user loads/has the new mesh object in their game already before loading up the house, then they won't lose the recolour. NEW MESH OBJECTS SHOULD NEVER GO ON THE SIMS EXCHANGE. (Can you imagine if they all wrote because of a mismatch object problem?) Recolours - As long as you don't change the name of the file (so that it still has our prefixes in it) then feel free to include them as much as you like in house packs (including the Sims Exchange). As a courtesy to your down loaders, it's probably a good idea to list the sites where you got the recolours from. But that's up to you. |

WHO ARE YOU? I mean all of you!
Also Team-Simthing - the encouragers, testers, suggesters, and "keeping the Kiri amused" icators without whom the site would be updated a lot less often than it is: Cris, Tina, Zoe, Thano, Frangi and Pink And a big thank-you to all the kind folk who've taken the time to email me or reply to my updates - I appreciate it very much. What's the answer to the Question of Life, the Universe and Everything?
